Louver

The Louver is a kind of a shutter or blind that comes with horizontal slats that are angled to allow space for light and air but restrict rain and direct sunlight.
Greenheck louvers are available in endless standard configurations. Each meets or exceeds the industry’s most stringent test performance standards and provide exceptional aesthetic appeal. Choose from extruded aluminum or galvanized steel louvers. All have a variety of accessories, blade, head and sill designs to fit your application. Most products are available in both standard and custom finishes and colors that complement building facades.

Stationary Louvers
Conventional stationary blade louvers offer considerable design flexibility and good protection from rain infiltration when applied properly in ambient conditions. However, these lend little protection against wind driven rain. Conventional stationary louvers offer high free area and low airflow resistance and are generally the most economical option.

Operable Louvers
Operable blade louvers protect air intake and exhaust openings in exterior walls. The design allows blades to be open or closed and are most often supplied with factory mounted and adjusted electric actuators. When in the open position these louvers function as a conventional louver. When in the closed position they provide a tight shutoff from air and other elements. These louvers provide good protection against rain infiltration under ambient conditions but lend little protection against wind driven rain when in the open position.

Wind Driven Rain Louvers
Minimize water penetration through openings that are sensitive to rain penetration. All models provide exceptional resistance to wind driven rain and are tested in accordance with the stringent AMCA 500-L Wind Driven Rain test procedure. Each features a drainable head with either horizontal or vertical rain-resistant blades.
